241 Toll Road connector to 91 Express Lanes scheduled after lengthy delay

The Transportation Corridor Agencies in coordination with Caltrans and the Orange County Transportation Authority, has agreed on the order of 91 Freeway construction projects leading up to the adding a direct connector linking the 241 Toll Road to the 91 Express Lanes. The new connector is expected to be completed as early as 2023.

California utilities cut power to hundreds of thousands amid fire danger

PG&E and Southern California Edison cut power to hundreds of thousands of customers preemptively to reduce the possibility of fire caused by overhead transmission lines. The move is unprecedented and expected to last approximately a week in some areas. News of the impending shutdown has led to a rush on stores in areas expected to go dark, as residents stockpiled batteries, flashlights, non-perishable foods, ice and gasoline.

Golden State Foods subsidiary latest to flee for greener pastures in Texas

Citing it's central location, business community and large talent pool as significant factors, Quality Custom Distribution Services, Inc. a subsidiary of Golden State Foods, that serves restaurants including Starbucks, Chick-fil-A and Chipotle, has announced it will relocate it's corporate headquarters to Texas. The company expects it's move out of Irvine to be complete by January 2020.
